We are honored to host the Department Head and holder of the Barbara J. and William M. "Bill" Huffman '53 Chair in Poultry Science, Dr. Audrey McElroy '93 ('95 '98) as our guest speaker for October. Audrey is a former student who earned her bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from the department she now leads. She has enjoyed a distinguished career in the private sector and in academia — at Virginia Tech and Texas A&M — as a researcher, educator and Extension specialist. Her experience translates well toward leading the department’s collective land-grant mission.
