Andrew H. Card, Jr., “Andy Card" is a former White House Chief of Staff and longtime public servant who has also played a significant leadership role at Texas A&M University. He served as Executive Director in the Office of the Provost and as Acting Dean of the Bush School of Government and Public Service, which was founded by George H. W. Bush.
Mr. Card is best known for his service to George W. Bush as White House Chief of Staff from 2001 to 2006, including his leadership during the response to the September 11 attacks.
He has also served as U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Chairman of the National Endowment for Democracy, and President of Franklin Pierce University, with a distinguished career spanning government, higher education, and industry.
